Installers go zombie-hunting
‘Zombie’ boilers were targeted during October in a competition designed to raise awareness of inefficient boilers and their gruesome costs to home owners.
Wolseley Plumb Center has been urging installers to unearth boiler horrors spotted on jobs and encourage householders to replace them before they spiral out of control, guzzling gas and money.
Installers were tasked with ‘slaying’ as many zombie boilers as possible, snapping them in their line of work and posting them on Twitter.
To enter the competition, installers followed the campaign on Twitter using #zombieboiler, and tweeted @plumbcenterUK photos of boiler horrors they slayed to win a zombie experience.
All entries were added to a leader board, and the installer who submitted the most zombie boilers has been crowned Zombie Boiler Hunter of the Year.
