Trumping the Donald
A Mexican businessman offended by Donald Trump’s insults to his country is marketing his own brand of Trump toilet paper.
Trademarks on the Trump name in construction, hotels, tourism, real estate and financial services have all been granted, but what’s referred to in Spanish as “hygienic paper” has been missed off the list.
This oversight means corporate lawyer Antonio Battaglia can capitalise. He has been approved to market his trademarked Trump toilet paper under the slogans “Softness without borders” and “This is the wall that, yes, we will pay for”.
Packages are expected to roll off production lines later this year, with 30 per cent of the profits promised to programmes supporting migrants.
